About the work - Born from the meshing of interlocking geometric and linear shapes derived from a self portrait drawing. Ink is textured and the silkscreens unretouched, every blemish celebrated, creating variations within the edition contrary to the regular silkscreen process of uniformity. For many years I have embraced the inclusions and nuances that would usually be rejected, enjoying the life that it infuses into each print, making each one unique and using the screen more as a painting process than a reproduction one.

Unframed original hand-pulled screen print on 300gsm Stonehenge soft white archival paper with two deckled edges.

All of the edition was hand printed in the studio in Sydney, using waterbased, environmentally friendly inks.

Signed and numbered by Kate Banazi. A multiple layered limited edition of only 10 of the print, in 3 studio hand mixed colours, making this a valued investment and collectable piece. As each silkscreen print is printed in individual layers and colours, every piece is handmade and unique with subtle variances to be expected within an edition. Texture is created from the silkscreen and ink layers which is inherent to the process and embraced within the studio practice.

Shipping: Artworks are rolled and sent via Australia Post Express worldwide with tracking. Please add your phone number at checkout for the delivery reference. Delivery within Australia is free and will take 2-5 business days, dependent on state. Delivery for the rest of the world is a flat fee of $50AU and will be between 6-14 working days depending on continent. Buyers are responsible for all import duties and taxes specific to their country of import from Australia. Customs forms will have stated purchase price on them.
